I’m Kenna (she/they)!
Tattooing is about all I’ve wanted to do since about 10 years old, and I started that journey at fourteen on my bathroom floor with a (very bad) stick and poke. I fell in love. Fast forward several years, I received my license in 2019 and now my heart swells every day because I just think working with y’all is the sweetest and coolest thing!
I had a lot of time to explore the arts growing up in a tiny town in Iowa. I danced for sixteen years, made ceramics, painted, dabbled in graphite and charcoal, but ultimately nothing felt as natural as ink, which led to the tattoos I create to be predominantly blackwork.
As someone who currently lives with fibromyalgia, obsessive compulsive disorder, endometriosis, body dysmorphia, and celiac disease, my main goal in tattooing is to help folks become at home in their bodies through art and autonomy, because I know what it’s like to feel unwelcome in your own vessel and tattoos can be self-healing. They can be sacred. They can be meaningless. They can be simultaneously unimportant and transformative. The coolest part of all? You get to decide.
xoxo
